Maia Mounsher leads Urban Light Foundation, an organisation dedicated to protecting boys and men from sex trafficking, and other forms of exploitation. She studied International Development Studies at Sussex University, UK, before moving to Asia, working with several NGOs focused on Child Protection and Anti-Trafficking in Northern Thailand. Maia has worked with ECPAT International’s Global Boys Initiative to carry out groundbreaking research (The Thailand Report) and with the World Childhood Foundation to research the online and offline sexual exploitation of males and SOGIE-diverse youth “Tell Them What Happened To Me” (2022).
